Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She anchors SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is native to two languages. From the age of nine years old, her ability to converse in two languages helped her get the job she wanted in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. As an assistant producer she was able to collaborate with national program producers like Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. She was hired as reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. In 2009, she relocated from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. In reporting on news stories about drugs and immigration issues on both sides the Texas-Mexico border, she was a news reporter on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5 pm, an anchor for the news channel with a news anchor in English for 9 pm, the news anchor was on until 10 pm, and then returned to the Spanish channel. She also filled in for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. There she had more responsibility. She also wrote articles for sports like the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. The show was promoted to be a sports anchor on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. In similar roles on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. At some point they relocated into Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She is older than her sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico to the US and settled in Miami. Soon after, her parents separated and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo got married again. He died of kidney cancer in 2006. In June of the year 2006, Antonietta took one week with her sibling in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked there. Antonietta was a senior high school student however, she had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She visited Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. Then she fell in love with the school. The university offered her an academic major. After completing the requirements for high school, she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed the WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked over the years, became an acquaintance. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her with his enthusiasm for journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
